Every Friday Night - from 7p until 9p we have dinner at the Post featuring New York Strip Steak, Lobster Tail or grilled Shrimp and includes Salad Bar.  Featuring Live Music by the Lucky You Band.

SATURDAYS

KARAOKE
Every Saturday Night - starting at 8p.  The Post Lounge is open weekdays from 11a until 11p, and much later on weekends.

BLOODY MARY BAR
Every Saturday and Sunday Morning - from 10a until Noon.  Come start your day with friends, and a refreshing drink, built to your liking.

BREAKFAST
Every Sunday Morning - from 10a until Noon - BEGINNING FEBRUARY 3RD.  The Post will be serving  hot breakfast meals.

MONTHLY MEETINGS

All members please be advised that our monthly meeting schedule is as follows:

  • 2nd Monday - 7p E-Board
  • 3rd Wednesday - 7p Auxiliary
  • 4th  Monday - 7p General Meeting
  • 4th  Monday (After the General Meeting)  - American Freedom Riders

For those of you that haven't been around in a while we would love to see you.  Our meetings are fun and the Best part is they only last 30 to 40 minutes at best!

MARDI GRAS POST CRAWL

FEBRUARY 9TH
Post 36, in conjunction with the American Freedom Riders, will be hosting the 3rd Annual Mardi Gras Post Crawl.  Motorcycles and Cars will visit 4 Posts throughout Broward County, beginning at 10AM.  A Mardi Gras Party, with authentic Cajun cuisine will begin at Post 36 at 3pm, along with Live Music by the Lucky You Band, Raffles, and More!

ST. PATRICK’S DAY PARADE

Post 36 will be marching in the St Patrick’s Day Parade along with the Sons, Auxiliary, and the American Freedom Riders.  If any member of the Legion Family would like to march let us know.  Final arrangements for the Parade will be discussed at our Post 36 meeting on Monday, February 25 at 7:00 P.M..  The Parade will take place on Saturday, March 9th, along East Las Olas Blvd.  Formation will be set by February 25th.  If you have any questions, Please call First Vice Commander Dick Maggiore at 954-326-0800.


DID YOU KNOW?

February 2, 1848 - The war between the U.S. and Mexico ended with the signing of the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo. In exchange for $15 million, the U.S. acquired the areas encompassing parts or all of present day California, Nevada, Utah, Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, Wyoming, and Texas. The treaty was ratified on March 10, 1848.

February 3, 1870 - The 15th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution was ratified, guaranteeing the right of citizens to vote, regardless of race, color, or previous condition of servitude.

February 10, 1942 - The first Medal of Honor during World War II was awarded to 2nd Lt. Alexander Ninninger (posthumously) for heroism during the Battle of Bataan.
