Every Friday Night - from 7p until 9p we have dinner at the Post featuring New York Strip Steak, Lobster Tail or grilled Shrimp and includes Salad Bar.  The First Friday of the month we also have Live Music, Featuring the Luck You Band.

Every Saturday Night - starting at 8p.  The Post Lounge is open weekdays from 11a until 11p, and much later on weekends.

ST. PATRICK’S DAY PARADE

Saturday, March 9 - Post 36 will be marching in the St Patrick’s Day Parade along with the Sons, Auxiliary, and the American Freedom Riders.  If any member of the Legion Family would like to march let us know.  The Parade will take place on Saturday, March 9th, along East Las Olas Blvd.  If you have any questions, Please call First Vice Commander Dick Maggiore at 954-326-0800.

Sunday, March 17 - Starting at 2:00P, we will be serving Corn Beef & Cabbage Plates for $8.00 . . . and don’t forget Car Bombs!

DID YOU KNOW?

March 2, 1943 - During World War II in the Pacific, a Japanese convoy was attacked by 137 American bombers as the Battle of Bismarck Sea began. The convoy included eight destroyers and eight transports carrying 7,000 Japanese soldiers heading toward New Guinea. Four destroyers and all eight transports were sunk, resulting in 3,500 Japanese drowned, ending Japanese efforts to send reinforcements to New Guinea.

March 10, 1862 - The first issue of U.S. government paper money occurred as $5, $10 and $20 bills began circulation.

March 19, 2003 - The United States launched an attack against Iraq to topple dictator Saddam Hussein from power. The attack commenced with aerial strikes against military sites, followed the next day by an invasion of southern Iraq by U.S. and British ground troops. The troops made rapid progress northward and conquered the country's capital, Baghdad, just 21 days later, ending the rule of Saddam.

All members please be advised that our monthly meeting schedule is as follows:

   * 2nd Monday  - 7p - E-Board
   * 3rd Wednesday - 7p - Auxiliary
   * 4th  Monday - 7p - General Meeting
   * 4th  Monday (After General Mtng) - American Freedom Riders

For those of you that haven't been around in a while we would love to see you.  Our meetings are fun and the Best part is they only last 30 to 40 minutes at best!
