FRIDAY NIGHT DINNER
Every Friday Night - from 7p until 9p we have dinner at the Post featuring New York Strip Steak, Ribeye Steak, Lobster Tail or Grilled Shrimp, includes Salad Bar, Vegetable Medley, and Choice of Potato.  The First Friday of every month, we Feature Live Music by the Luck You Band.

SATURDAYS

KARAOKE
Every Saturday Night - starting at 8p.  The Post Lounge is open weekdays from 11a until 11p, and much later on weekends.

SUNDAYS

BREAKFAST
Every Sunday Morning - from 10a until Noon The Post serves hot breakfast meals for only $5.00.

The Auxiliary will be hosting Initiation of New Members during our regular monthly meeting.  If you are a New Member, or a Member which hasn’t been able to attend an initiation in the past Please Join Us!  As we need to know how many pins to bring, Please RSVP by April 10.  We will have a light fare immediately afterward. 

ALSO, Nominations are now open for Auiliary Officers for the 2013-2014 year, if you are interested in running for office, please be present at the April meeting for final nominations.  Elections will be held during our May meeting.

APRIL 21 
The Marine Corp League is holding a picnic at our own Post 36 - check the website calendar for times and costs.  Come Support Our Marines! 

APRIL 22
The Riders will be holding their annual officer elections.  All Riders are encouraged to come to the April 22 meeting to cast your vote.

State Convention is almost here!.  The State Covention is June 6 thru June 9 at the Renaissance SeaWorld Hotel, in Orlando.  Make your plans now, in supporting Post 36.

April 2, 1513 - Spanish explorer Ponce De Leon sighted Florida and claimed it for the Spanish Crown after landing at the site of present day St. Augustine, now the oldest city in the continental U.S.

April 6, 1917 - Following a vote by Congress approving a declaration of war, the U.S. entered World War I in Europe.

April 9, 1865 - After over 500,000 American deaths, the American Civil War Ended as General Robert E. Lee surrendered to General Ulysses S. Grant in the village of Appomattox Court House. The surrender occurred in the home of Wilmer McLean. Terms of the surrender, written by General Grant, allowed Confederates to keep their horses and return home. Officers were allowed to keep their swords and side arms.

April 12, 1861 - The American Civil War Began as Confederate troops under the command of General Pierre Beauregard opened fire at 4:30 a.m. on Fort Sumter in Charleston, South Carolina.

April 15, 1912 - In the icy waters off Newfoundland, the luxury liner Titanic with 2,224 persons on board sank at 2:27 a.m. after striking an iceberg just before midnight. 

April 18, 1775 - The Midnight Ride of Paul Revere occurred

April 22, 1864 - "In God We Trust" was included on all newly minted U.S. coins by an Act of Congress.
