A TESTAMENT TO THE CARING AND SHARING OF POST 36

The following is a quote from an email received from the Schiro Family, in appreciation of the Memorial Day Brick Laying Ceremony:

And thank you so very much, for your kind email but also for providing these family members with a deeply
meaningful opportunity today. They shared with me all the details and it brought me such joy that it worked out this way, because since Joe died the kids and I, as well as his parents, have received so much support and attention. But those you met today were Joe’s biggest cheerleaders and loved him with all their hearts. It meant more than you know to have them be the ones receiving the thanks and honor due them in light of losing the apple of their eye. So again from the bottom of my heart I thank you. And extend my gratitude to all at the American Legion for very truly providing comfort and healing for us and so many. I do hope we can meet in person sometime. Deepest thanks, Diana Schiro.
